Please join us on May 12, 2012 to show your support by Standup Paddleboarding around the Bay with friends and family in the Pink Flotilla fundraiser. Beginner and advanced paddlers are all welcome, as well as any type of paddle vessel you can bring to the beach. There will also be a Race class for the competitive types (4 miles) and a Pink Beach Walk (approximately 1 mile) for those who wish to participate off the water.

Eight ladies from the lovely state of Virginia joined us in the beautiful Exuma Islands of the Bahamas. Most of the group waterski regularly, but they were excited to try a new watersport, and kiteboarding provided the adrenaline rush they were looking for. We were surrounded by shallow, smooth, crystal clear waters, sunny skies, and secluded beaches...ideal conditions. By far one of the best areas for learning to kiteboard this side of the globe. 

The ladies progressed quickly under the kite and enjoyed sharing their experiences together, successes and kitemares alike, over dinner back at the villa in the evenings. They also got to enjoy standup paddleboarding tours, snorkeling blue holes, petting the local sting rays, eating conch salad, playing beach volleyball with the locals and the sailboat cruisers, dancing along to the rake and scrape bands, and relaxing on various beaches.

These kiting grounds are extremely versatile with slick waters for beginners, wake-style riding or speed racers, and tons of clean breaks for the kitesurfers, along with miles of cays to explore via kite, paddleboard or boat.
